Job Description
To provide in-house skilled maintenance in assisting Facilities Engineer (Electrical) to maintain Illumination systems & Electrical distribution systems including master switch board in proper working order.
Key responsibilities:
- Wire, install, and connect distribution boards, sub-switch boards, MCCBs, instruments, magnetic contactors, timers, relays, changeover switches, and isolators to expand and enhance the electrical system.
- Detect and rectify faults, including component and spare replacement, downstream of the master switchboard, ensuring proper electrical system functionality.
- Ensure uninterrupted generator power during utility failures.
- Contribute to the timely execution of scheduled and ad-hoc electrical maintenance tasks.
- Record and address log reports promptly to rectify defects.
- Coordinate fuel transportation and pumping for a minimum eight-hour full load operation during off-office hours.
- Replace consumable items like High-Intensity Discharge lamp fittings, motor starter components, level switches, and sensor switches to maintain a satisfactory working environment.
Requirements
Sat for G.C.E Ordinary Level (O/L) and a relevant course equivalent to NVQ level 3 for which the duration of course to be 6 months in the relevant field with 2 years relevant working experience.
Age to be not more than 35 years as at the closing date 11th February 2024.
