Job Description
To carry out in-house skilled maintenance activities including construction of internal semi-permanent partitions, roof works, ceiling, interior decorative items and fixing furniture to use in good condition.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Carryout layout modifications (i.e. Partitioning, Installation of timber/ aluminum/ glass door & window frames, sashes & accessories etc.) to cater to changing organizational needs as & when required.
- Perform construction, modification, and repairs on ceilings to ensure a safe and comfortable work environment for the user department.
- Carryout construction of counters, carpeting, vinyl floor tilling & wallpaper / fabric installation etc. to help maintain the image of the airline.
- Conduct furniture repairs to ensure the efficient operation of offices and service facilities in a cost-effective and timely manner.
- Monitoring proper log reports & following up under the guidance of the Foreman in charge to rectify defects on time.
- Maximum usage of power tools for carpentry and other fabrication work and maintenance of such tools for longer life span of the same.
Requirements
6 passes at GCE (O/L) including a pass for Mathematics & English with 3 credits in one sitting and successful completion of one-year full time technical course (NVQ level 4) in relevant field (carpentry) with three years relevant working experience.
Age to be not more than 32 years as at 15th January 2024 which is the closing date.
Be a Sri Lankan Citizen.
