The BEd ( Hons) degree programme has been designed and developed to produce competent,  professional teachers  who will be able to effectively meet the needs of the 21st century learners in a global environment. The programme is a comprehensive, professional and  multi-disciplinary education programme that includes general, professional, elective  and practical components of modern Teacher Education accredited by the UGC & Ministry of Higher Education, Sri Lanka. The uniqueness of the programme is its multi-disciplinary nature that caters to the needs of all categories of  candidates.
All general, professional and practical modules  are compulsory to all students while the two elective modules  that consists of both academic and methodological  components could be selected by the candidates  from a pool of courses.
