Responsibilities

Evaluate business problems which can be solved with analytics solutions and prioritize projects based on business impact
Spearhead implementation of analytics initiatives involving Data Scientists, business users, ICT professionals and external stakeholders
Manage a team of analytics professionals within the Analytics CoE and provide guidance on the technology selection, statistical methodologies, and Data Science best practices
Engage as a Data Scientist for selected projects
Influence business users to evolve towards a data/insights driven decision making culture
Evaluate improvements and finetune the analytic models/tools built previously to cater to the changing business dynamics
Train key team members on usage of the built models

Qualifications

Postgraduate qualifications in Statistics/Data Science/Computer Science from a recognized university in Sri Lanka or overseas, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in similar disciplines
Minimum 7 years of experience in Business Analytics roles with at least 3 years hands on experience on statistical packages and modelling languages such as R, Python, etc
Exposure to apparel industry or domain experience in Supply Chain, Marketing and Operations will be an added advantage
