Chief Financial Officer – Union Assurance Vacancies 2024

Key Responsibility
- Formulate the overall Finance strategy for the company and align it with the business plans.
- Contribute to the company’s strategy and drive the annual budgeting and strategic planning process.
- Collaborate with operational units to deliver on the company’s strategy and value drivers through the provision of analytical and financial inputs.
- Direct the preparation of all financial statements, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
- Overall accountability for ensuring that the financial statements are accurate and relevant, including timely publishing of quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Make sure that all statutory submissions are made in accordance with regulatory requirements and deadlines and drive the culture of governance and compliance within the organization.
- Collaborate with the industry to make sure that the new regulatory changes promote the expansion of the company and the sector.
- Monitor the financial performance of the company through the provision of real time information for decision making and IT driven dashboards and tools for planning, forecasting and scenario analysis.
- Establishing a culture of adherence to controls through relevant department policies and procedures and approval mechanism.
- Managing the administration of the investments portfolio of the company and ensure that lending of funds and investments are transferred to books and managed accurately.

Requirements
- 15 plus years of relevant experience in Finance with 8+ years of leadership/senior management experience.
- An MBA from a recognized university with a degree or a Member of CIMA,ACCA or CA Sri Lanka.
- Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
- Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Outstanding leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
