The LEAP Foundation is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative powered by ESOFT, the largest private sector, higher education network in Sri Lanka. It aims to offer financial assistance to deserving and capable students who have difficulties financing their higher education. This island-wide initiative is open to young people from across Sri Lanka with each district being assigned a quota.
Selected candidates follow ESOFT’s established academic pathway to obtain an internationally recognised 2-year HND followed by a 1-year Top-up degree from London Metropolitan University (UK). In addition to complete financial assistance with an extended payment plan for higher studies, LEAP candidates also receive support for job placements and thereby benefit from greater employment opportunities both during and after the completion of their undergraduate degree.
To be eligible for financial assistance through the LEAP Foundation, students must have completed their Advanced Level (A/L) examination with a minimum of 3 passes. Students who sat for A/Ls in 2017 can also apply pending results.
Candidates must register with LEAP Foundation by filling out an application form and facing an IQ test and an Interview which ESOFT will use to gauge the student’s capability, commitment and funding needs. Each district will be assigned a quota and only a limited number of LEAP candidates will be accepted from each district.
